VISION

I am a father with children in RRISD, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to represent the parents, teachers, and students, and members of my community. I aim to  prioritize the well-being and safety of our students, and I am dedicated to representing our wonderful district. I believe that our students and families benefit when we work together to achieve academic excellence, which ultimately leads to future positive outcomes.

Teachers are most effective when they are equipped with the support, tools, and confidence necessary for handling the daily challenges of their noble profession. And part of that support includes providing them with a sound curriculum that emphasizes the fundamentals of reading, writing, math and science. Consequently, equipping all Round Rock ISD students with these vital skills is essential for their prosperity and success in the 21st century.

Round Rock ISD students have shown tremendous resilience in the face of adversity. They continue to rise to every challenge, and I believe that every student at every campus in Round Rock ISD is entitled to an exemplary education.

VISION:

  • Back to Basics and focusing on Reading, Writing, Math, Science and History.

  • An equal opportunity for all students and a respectful and positive environment.

  • Ethical, fair and transparent decision-making with accountability through community and parental engagement.

GOALS:

LEADERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT

  • Accountability & Fiscal Responsibility: Taxpayers and parents, as critical stakeholders, can expect accountability, fairness, and transparency from their school board. Taxpayers should expect fiscal responsibility and integrity from their elected officials.

  • Oversight: School board trustees will ensure high ethical standards and maintain vigilant oversight of the actions of the Superintendent.

  • Parental & Teacher Involvement:  Parents have the right to actively participate in their child’s education. Parent access and involvement are key components of students' well-being and success. Teachers, along with parents, should be engaged in policy, curriculum and goal setting in the district.

RESPECT & SUCCESS

  • Respectful Learning Environment: Students and staff deserve an educational environment built on a foundation of mutual respect, and a campus atmosphere that fosters unity, inclusion and trust. It is important to promote the understanding of all people and to celebrate diversity both within our community and our curriculum.

  • Investment & Equal Opportunity: Investing in teacher pay, materials, professional development and technology are essential to positive student outcomes. All students should be provided an equal opportunity to reach their highest potential and shall have access to enriching programs, services and activities that promote academic and personal growth both within and beyond the classroom.
